Yei Join Stars have been crowned champions in the maiden South Sudan Football Association Women National League (SSFAWNL).
The SSFAWNL league leaders wrapped up their splendid campaign with 4-0 hammering of Wau Women FC achieving a total of 33 points in the inaugural competition.
Juba Super Stars clobbered Kuajok FC 5-1; Aweil beat Bentiu United 2-1 while Torit beat Yambio by a solitary goal.
South Sudan Football Association tweeted yesterday: ‘‘Congratulations to Yei Join Stars who have been crowned Champions of the Inaugural South Sudan Women’s National League. They will represent South Sudan in the CAF Women’s Club Champions League qualifiers in Kenya.’’
Top scorers of the tournament were: Amy Lasu (11 goals), Govee Jacinta (9 goals), Adut Deborah (9 goals) and Nyibol Bol (7 goals).
