Western Bahr Ghazal business community teams up with gov’t to put up road

Business community from Western Bahr el Ghazal State and state government have partnered to build roads and bridges for ease of connectivity.

According to WBGS Governor Sarah Cleto, her government, through the State Ministry of Land, Housing and Public Utilities, the Ministry of Roads and Bridges, and business groups, will construct new roads which will connect areas with poor infrastructure.

“We have teamed up with businesses in the state to construct a new road and bridge that will link Wau North, Hai Zande, with Wau South and Hai Muwazifien,” Governor Sarah Cleto said after visiting the areas on Friday.

The bridge will be constructed on Khor Taka Taka (stream).

The WBGS governor, however, did not reveal how much the project will cost to complete.

She directed the relevant ministries to assume responsibility for ensuring that the work is completed successfully in order to assist the communities.

“This new projects of building road is a gift in occasion of the 11th anniversary of South Sudan Independence Day – July 9,” she added.

Governor Cleto urged the communities in those areas to cooperate with the authorities for the success of the projects saying the road would help them in many ways including easy access to market.
