Unbeaten S. Sudan land gritty opponents in FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

South Sudan, still unbeaten in the ongoing FIBA World Cup 2023 Africa Qualifiers has landed in a strong group in the round 4 of the continental qualifiers.

The homeboys who won all her three matches in Kigali, to add to three victories in Senegal in round 2, will now play Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt and Senegal in the fourth round.

The Loul Deng boy defied the form boom when they cruised past African champions, Tunisia, host Rwanda and Cameroon, in Kigali last week to finish top of Group B.

South, just six games away​​ from booking her maiden ticket to the World’s, might just realize the dream if they continue with their form until February 2023.

The next round of qualifiers will commence in August 2022.

South Sudan will play against Senegal on August 27, 2022 following their game against their neighbors, Dr. Congo, on August 28 of the same month. The last game will be on August 28 against the Egyptian side.

While their next final window of games at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers will be played next year in February 2023.

The venues for all the games are yet to be determined by FIBA.
