Three arrested, 103 cattle recovered in Warrap State

The authorities in Warrap State have arrested three suspects in connection with cattle rustling and recovered 103 cattle and 1 sheep.

A news report by SSBC Daniel Mareng Wek revealed that the exercise was conducted by the disarmament task force in the state.

He stated that the cattle were recovered from Kot-ngor cattle camp in Tonj East County, as part of the asset recovery exercise.

“Governor Aleu Ayieny Aleu visited Mayom Abun in Tonj South County where recovered cattle are stationed,” he noted.

Governor Aleu launched an investigation to find out the rightful owners of cattle and give them their cattle.

“The state government has launched an immediate investigation to establish the owners of the cattle and would possible free some cows, whose owners are properly identified,” Mareng continued.

He directed the community leaders to cooperate with the disarmament task force so that they could free the state from rifles.

Last week, Governor Aleu officiated over the collection of illegal firearms in Warrap State urging soldiers to be disciplined as they execute their duties.
