Teenager raped by 35-year-old, left for dead in Aweil
A 15-year-old teenage girl has been raped and left unconscious in Aweil by a 35-year-old man identified as Daniel Deng.
A source who spoke to The City Review said the incident happened on Valentine’s Day in Aweil County at raped a 15-year-old girl in Aweil County in Malouawer village.
The source said the girl was raped and left unconscious for three days from the night of 14th February 2022 adding that the suspect fled to Nimule town in Eastern Equatoria State.
“The man escaped after leaving the girl weak and bleeding. He left her at the scene for three days from 14th February 2022 up to Thursday,” the source said.
The City Review also learned that when the victim regained her senses at 11 pm South Sudan time, she said the suspect was with a group of friends, whose names were not revealed.
Amid fear of reprisal and stigma, the victim chose not to report the case to the police, hampering any probability of investigations.
