The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has banned Genanyuon United’s head coach Maluach Garang Maluach and six players from football for three years on grounds of indiscipline.
This followed Wednesday’s incident in which the team’s fans, players, technical staff, and head coach were involved in a brawl with match officials during their game with Al-Hilal Wau in the ongoing 2021/2022 South Sudan Cup in Zone Two.
According to the information from Wau, Genanyuon United was involved in serious fighting with the match officials after their 2-0 defeat to the Wau boys in the last game of the zone two semifinals.
