JUBA – Linda Victor, a referees’ instructor working for the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) in Western Equatoria State Capital Wau has passed on, a senior official has confirmed.

Francis Amin, the former President of the South Sudan Football Association made the announcement Friday evening.

Mr. Amin described Linda as a hardworking person during her time with the national football governing body.

“It’s so sad to learn of the sudden death of Ms. Linda Victor, SSFA Referees’ Instructor of Wau LFA,” Amin tweeted Friday.

“She’s a hardworking person during her time that football [the] fraternity shall never forget. I’d like to convey my deepest condolences to her family & may her soul rest in peace,” the former President added.

The SSFA Management described Linda as an asset to the football fraternity.

“During her time she served under Wau Local Football Association as a train Local Referee and Instructor. We lost a great human asset in the family of football,” it said.

However, the management did not disclose the cause of death.
