SSCUP: Jebel Koteen beats Nasiry 3-1 in first match

Jebel Koteen FC from Kapoeta registered an impressive performance in their first game by beating Mundri’s Nasiry FC 3-1 in South Sudan Cup 2021/2022 at the Buluk Playground, Juba.
The Mountain Boys scored two goals in the first half against Western Equatoria’s sub-local champions.
Jebel Koteen’s player maker, Nasty Moses scored a brace, while Chikidii Kong also added his name to the scoresheet.
Azaria Simon scored a consolation goal in the 89th minute, but it was too late for it to change any results.
‘‘Yeah, we are happy. You guys made us proud. Keep the spirit. We appropriated your teamwork. Yeah, thank you, Moses and everyone,” Jebel Koteen’s fan shouted.
As things stand, Nasiry must score three goals against Jebel Boys in order to stay in Juba; otherwise, their stay will be cut short.
The two teams were from sub-local championships and any of them that goes through will face Al- Wehede FC of Terekeka.
Nasiry’s fans blamed the game’s start time: “Our guys were better, but the time the game started was bad; it was hot, and our guys got tired sooner,” one of the fans said.
Still, in zone two, Juma Magai’s first-half goal sealed Super Star FC’s (Bor) ability to earn three points in their first game against Yei champions Easter FC.

Sebit Riak scored their only goal in the 40th minute after a beautiful finish from Magai, who could be thanked for his nice cross.
The Yei boys could have equalised in the last 10 minutes of the game, but they were to be blamed for not taking advantage of the last chance.
Elsewhere, in zone two (Wau), Malual Bai FC of Wonyjok beat Genanyuon FC Tonj by 1-0 to nothing, with the only goal of the match being scored by Daniel Deng Akot.
