Soldier finds wife with boyfriend, shoots him

A South Sudan People’s Defence Force (SSPDF) officer allegedly shot and killed a man whom he suspected to be having an illicit affair with his wife.
Police spokesperson Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin, told The City Review that the soldier killed the alleged boyfriend to the wife on Wednesday at 2:30 am.
The incident took place at the couple’s room in New Site.
According to Justin, the soldier later took himself to the police station after committing the murder.
the name of the suspect and that of the deceased are yet to be made public by the police.
He called on the soldiers who are carrying the weapon to refrain from such acts, adding that they should report such cases to authorities for appropriate action to be taken.
“I am urging the people in the country especially those with guns (organized forces) to not take laws in their hands,” he said.
The incident come barely three weeks after a police attached to National Security shot his wife and another man at Bedouin Lounge in Juba.
Rebecca Anyon and her co-worker, Chris Akech met their death on June 15 after they were shot dead by the former’s husband who suspected that the duo were having an affair.
