Silver X and WJ shake hands to bury lengthy beef
Beef in music is as old as the music itself. While some artists have fallen out for personal reasons, others have done it to deliberately grow their stature. Fans of vintage American rap can remember with nostalgia how the likes of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.—whose deaths remain mysterious—spiced up music with rivalries that made them famous.
However, reconciliation normalises things and means working together to correct the legacy of past injustice. The rule of thumb postulates that the bigger the star, the bigger the ego, and when the two tangles, the end result is a supernova of spite that holds the world in rapture.
Wonlok James, also known as WJ the King of Lokwilili, has been in the music business for nearly 17 years and has released 12 albums. All of his music preaches love, peace, and harmony amongst one another.
Okuta Ceaser Malis Jeremiah alias Silver X, on the other hand, is amongst the legendary artists who want to be defined by their character, hard work and hustle in the music industry in South Sudan.
The two artists have contributed immensely to the music industry and made sure they shine and lift the musical flag high to the peak. However, as much as one tries harder to do what they think is good, there are those who are stumbling blocks on their way to progress, and these come in the form of friends and fans, respectively.
It is rumoured that the two giants, Silver X and WJ the King, have not been on good terms for some reason best known to them. According to two fans who pledge allegiance to the two singers, the duo started feuding a long time ago before it morphed into hatred. And, to them, once the big elephants fight, it is the grass that always suffers. Many clashes are over in a flash, but others take longer than expected. According to WJ the King of Lokwilili, their differences were so minor that they eventually resolved them amicably as brothers in the same industry because they both needed each other.
Silver X also said he put all the wrangles aside to focus on the future and betterment of his music. According to him, there was no big problem between them. He argued that due to envy from some fellow musicians and fans, the beef was sparked, and did nothing but take the industry backwards.
According to WJ, the king of Lokwilili, they have already buried the animosity and are focusing on working on different projects together. He hinted that the renewed relationship could play out in the song titled “underage,” which he sampled live on Eye Radio. The piece will feature Silver X and many other musicians. He requested his fans and South Sudan music followers to support local content by at least subscribing to their YouTube channels.
Silver X reiterated that they are planning to work on the best projects together to give special treats to their fans. He also recently released a song titled ‘’iyodo’’ themed with an African touch. The song was produced by Kamba the Baddest. Singer X is currently planning a concert to bring artists together in pursuit of unity.
