Manchester City beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on Tuesday night to win the tie of 4-1 aggregate and qualify for their first ever Uefa Champions League final.
Riyad Mahrez collected a brace after he struck in both halves to seal the victory for the Blues against the 10-man Les Parisiens.
Pep Guardiola assembled a lineup with no Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero. He opted to deploy Kevin De Bruyne as a false nine with Mahrez and Phil Foden operating on the flanks.
Mauricio Pochettino on the other side failed to use Kylian Mbappe and went with Mauro Icardi, Neymar Jr and Angel Di Maria on the attack.
Mahrez scored after Man City launched attack on the breaks and Foden fed the Algerian to slot past Keylor Navas.
He scored a second in the second half with a counter attack after receiving a ball from the English midfielder again.
However, it was Ruben Dias who denied PSG a number of times making world class blocks to keep Neymar and Di Maria from bringing the visitors into the game.
Man City, who were knocked by Tottenham Hotspurs in the semifinal two seasons ago, won the tie on 4-1 aggregate after De Bruyne and Mahrez scored in the first leg to cancel Maquinhos header.
