Liverpool hammers woeful Man United 4-0 to top the EPL
In-form Liverpool ripped apart a struggling Manchester United side to move to the summit of the English Premier League table on Tuesday night.
The Reds drubbed the arch-rivals 4-0 at Anfield, inflicting more injuries on the Red Devils, whose top four campaign seems not to be getting a significant boost.
Winter acquisition Luis Diaz scored in the fifth minute before Mohamed Salah doubled the lead in the 22nd minute to ensure the hosts had total control of their destiny. In the second half, Sadio Mane grabbed a third in the 65th minute before Salah got his brace in the 85th minute to confirm a dreadful night for the Red Devils. The match ended 4-0. Liverpool moves to the top of the league with 76 points, two points above Manchester City who have a game in hand. Man United are sixth with 54 points.
