Kator FC crowned winners of Juba Ramadan Cup
Sunday Kator FC earned the second edition of the Juba Ramadan Cup after beating Rainbow Sports Club one-nil courtesy of Sunday Peter’s heroics.
The champions came out firing to avoid repeating last year’s fate, and their tactics worked perfectly thanks to the impressive performance from the Loberas.
The first Juba Ramadan Cup held last year went out of Kator after they were beaten by Gudele FC in the finals. But this year, the defeat did repeat itself when their tallish man, Peter, got the man of the match for winning it for the Loberas.
In his post-match press statement, Peter Chol, Kator FC’s captain, was delighted with his fellow players for their outstanding performance.
He hailed them for the brilliant work they had done to earn the victory.
“Of course, when you win, something like that is an achievement for the team as well as its players, and you must celebrate it. So, we are happy about the victory, and your question about how I feel? “Absolutely I am excited.”
Also, Chol praised the fans for their support and encouraged them to continue with the same spirit as he promised his team’s commitment to achieving more trophies.
“I can’t say it was an easy game, but rather I can say it was one of the toughest games we ever played. Those guys were hard, but all in all, our guys deserve credit for their wonderful job,” Captain Chol stated.
The 2nd edition of the Juba Ramadan Cup included over ten clubs from the Juba Local first and second divisions, with Kator and Rainbow Sports Club meeting in the finals.
