Juba to stage first-ever Auto Show
South Sudan’s Corporate Business Network said it is preparing to hold a two-day first-ever auto show in Juba.
The automobile show will run from Saturday, through to Sunday -July 2-3, 2022, at Bros Hotel Riverside.
The event intends to bring all auto dealers and auto enthusiasts together. It will also provide an opportunity for networking y network and conduct business, according to Yanga Victor, one of the founders.
“Most times we buy cars because of the bandwagon effect, but through the lube auto, car lovers get to meet experts in car dealerships and will get firsthand information about what type of car one should buy according to the condition of the roads,” Mr. Victor said.
The Juba Auto Show, according to the organisers, intends to move away from the pricey and traditional car show settings and into an outdoor setting where auto dealers and enthusiasts are free to mingle and conduct business.
Victor added that the event is also aimed to give indigenous microbusinesses the chance to network with the country’s more established businessmen and women and share enterprise experiences.
“In most cases, we have stories of people who feel they are not worth the classic car showrooms, and most of the time, these people have been dubbed by black-market car dealers,’’ he said.
‘‘This is what we hope to avoid and, through the show, car lovers get to meet the authorised and authentic car dealers directly. “
The first-ever Juba Auto Show is also a lifestyle event where prizes will be given out for the best displays.
The best interior-designed car will receive 100 litres of fuel and the people’s choice winner will receive an additional 100 litres of fuel. Both shall be provided by Bros Petroleum and Trinity Energy Company.
The event will run from from 9 am to 6 pm for the two days planned.
