Juba City Council declares war on criminal gangs
The Juba City Council Mayor Michael Lado Allah-Jabu has declared a war on the outlawed group popularly known as niggers in Juba town.
The Mayor made the remarks on Monday during the World Malaria Day celebrations in Juba at Nyakuron Cultural Centre.
“Nowadays, there are many criminals within the city and they call themselves niggers, we have declared war on them and we are arresting them from area to area in their assemble centres,” he said.
Allah-Jabu urged the participants at the event to pass the information to their family members who could be subscribing to those groups that the Juba City Council would apprehend them.
“We will get them arrested and put them in custody and some of them will be sent out of the state to reduce their number in Juba,” he warned.
In addition, Allah-Jabu told Eye Radio that his office arrested more than 60 suspected members of niggers over the weekend in Atla-Bara, Jebel Sukar, Giada and Lologo.
He said the city Council is currently investigating the suspects and urged their parents to visit his office and give accounts of why they allowed their children to join the outlawed groups.
“On Saturday, we went on a crackdown because we have some people who are working down there underground. We have community policing and residential area chiefs, and they always give us information,’’ he was quoted saying.
