The national ministry of labour has declared Friday, July 9, a public holiday due to the upcoming independence commemoration slated for that day.
Mary Hillary Wani Pitia, the undersecretary in the ministry of labour, stated in a document seen by the City Review that all civil service institutions, commissions, diplomatic institutions, national and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the public should brace to honour the public holiday.
“Work will resume on Monday 12 June 2021,” Pitia said in the circular.
The minister also wished all the country a happy celebration of the 10th independence day commemoration.
