A commercial boat was carrying humanitarian assistance belonging to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations when it collided with another boat on the River Nile.

Abraham said the boat was carrying humanitarian assistance with more than 50 passengers.

“Three people drowned with the boat and their bodies are not yet to be found. One person died on the spot and the body is now at the state hospital. Six people sustained injuries and they are now receiving treatment at Bor State hospital,” Abraham said.
