Fire guts down New Custom Market

The Custom Market in Juba has been razed. The City Review was established by an eyewitness from the scene who confirmed that the incident happened at around 6 pm on Monday. The source who spoke in confidence said several shops had been burnt but the fire brigade had arrived by 7 pm to extinguish the fire.
“l have seen about 10 shops burning and covered totally with fire, although the fire brigade is trying to put off the fire it is still hard but they are trying to control,” the eyewitness told to the City Review.
Pictures circulated from the scene depict a cloud of white smoke and fire lighting through the darkness as onlookers standby.
