Eden Commercial Bank staff disappears with $50,000
A staff of Eden Commercial Bank Yei branch has made away with $50,000, leaving the private financial institution counting losses.
The unnamed official who is a Cash Manager, disappeared with the aforementioned amount on Monday this week, according to a staff at Eden Commercial Bank Yei Branch.
Speaking to the City Review from Yei Town on Friday, the staff whosought anonymity confirmed that they were still trying to trace the suspect’s whereabouts.
“It happened on Monday and we don’t know how he disappeared up to now we don’t know where he has gone with the money,” said the source without further details.
The staff who said he was too busy to provide more information on how significant the incident has cost the bank, promised to reveal more details when the tasks at hand wane.
The bank has the headquarters in the capital, Juba, and other branches in some states of South Sudan.
