Deborah scores five as Yei Joint Stars hit Tiger United 8-0

Goal-hungry Aliwaranga Deborah Luka scored five goals for Yei Joint Stars as they thrashed Tiger United Women FC, Aweil, 8-0 to go to the next round of the 2021/2022 Women’s South Sudan Cup.
Maurine Amos put Yei Joint Stars ahead in the fifth minute with a free header finisher from their winger, Rahma Cosmas.
Tiger United FC, the 2020 champions, came out with all of their might to overturn the first leg’s 7-0 score but the Yei giants never let the Aweil females get close to their goal.
The unstoppable Deborah, a Yei striker, scored her first goal of the game in the 29th minute following Tiger United’s hooked blunder, which she easily taped into the back of the net, before adding another in the 33rd minute to make it 3-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the game becomes easier for the hat-trick-crazed striker, who scored another brace in the space of six minutes, with goals coming in the 47th and 53rd minutes to make it five-nil.
The Aweil giants came close to scoring a goal from their best player Adou Tong who at least tried but they will have to settle for hitting the goal post as the 2020 champions have been knocked out without scoring.
As Yei fans chanted, “We need more goals, time is running out, we need one-week goals,” a Yei winger responded with a goal in the 61st minute to meet the demands of the crowd.
Deborah scored her fifth goal of the game in the 75th minute, before Annet Adebo’s long-range strike, which Tiger United goalkeeper Ayeet Kur Ajiing failed to clear correctly, while spectators applauded their ladies.
She became the first woman player to score five goals in a single game since the Women’s South Sudan Cup began, and the Joint Stars are currently one of the best women’s teams in the country.
Deborah now scores nine goals in two matches with her four and five goals in the first and second leg. Yei Joint Stars won the game 8-0, knocking out Tiger United of Aweil with a 15-nil aggregate score after losing the first leg 7-0.
Deborah now has nine goals in two games, with four and five goals in the first and second legs, respectively.
“Congratulations to the Yei Joint Stars, and hard luck to our side, Tiger United Aweil. I can say honestly that the Yei Joint Stars were a better side compared to our ladies. We are out now, but it gives us lesion for us to go and do a lot for the next year,” Moses Ngor, the Tiger United, Aweil head coach, said after the match.
He added, “I do not have any problems with my team, but I will go back and see what the team is lacking and try to fix the problem.”
Meanwhile, Adon Christin Alex, the head coach of Yei Joint Star, congratulated her team on their impressive performance on the pitch, saying they won with eight nil against the tough Aweil side, which can boost morale.
“We came in as strong and ready just like our opponent. They are a really strong team and we have never played against them. I believe they are the better side if they fix up the midfielder. All in all, football is football, and the rule is that one needs to exist.”
“We wish the hard luck and wish our ladies good luck as they continue with the computations,” Yei Joint Stars added.
Elsewhere, Juba’s Champions Al-Rabita W.FC were knocked out by Kuku W.FC of Torit after a one-nil defeat on Sunday in front of their own Juba fans.
Their first leg game ended 3-1 in favor of Kuku FC’s and the second leg ended 1-0 which took them out of the competition.
