Date set for release of SSCSE exams

​The South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Examination (SSCSE) result will be released officially on Friday.

The results will be released during the 14th Ordinary Meeting of South Sudan Examination Council at Crown Hotel.

The meeting will also release the evaluation report that might propose the prospects of improving performance levels among the learners.

On Tuesday, Minister of General Edu​​cation and Instruction Awut Deng Acuil briefed President Salva Kiir on the status of the education sector, particularly on the quality of education.

Acuil exuded confidence in the performance of the students – a result that will officially be released after three months of waiting.
In 2021, female candidates outshone their male counterparts in the senior four examinations.

According to data from last year, female students scored an average of 97.5 percent pass rate compared to the males, who attained an average of 97.3 per cent pass mark.

That was an improvement from the 2020 results where the girl-child scored an average of 97.4 per cent.
