Cusin names 29-man squad ahead of friendlies

South Sudan’s senior men’s team head coach Stefano Cusin has announced a 29-man’s squad ahead of international friendly games.

 The Bright Star will have their two friendly matches against Gambia and Algeria.

The team expected to take only the Gambian side on November 13 and November 15 till Algeria came into the fixtures for this month.

It will be the first competitive test for the former Wolves manager to stand on the touchline for the Bright Stars since September 2021, when he officially signed for the national team.

Last month, coach Stefano Cusin travelled with the Bright Stars team to Morocco where the team played three international friendly matches including the host Morocco.

But it was the interim coach Simon Yar who was in charge of the team.

The Bright Stars managed to get only one draw out of three friendly matches as the others ended in defeats.

On Sunday, Mr Cusin named a 29-man squad ahead of two upcoming matches.

These are the 29-man squad the Italian man has chosen to present the national team in the upcoming international friendly.

Stefano Cusin is an Italian coach who was contracted in September this year by South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) as Bright Stars’ head coach in a 2-year contract.

Mr Cusin will be the head coach of the South Sudan Men’s National Football Team until 2023.
