Cause of death of Central Bank’s Deputy Governor revealed
Central Bank deputy Governor Daniel Keach Puoch died of hypertension, his family and colleagues have disclosed.
Puoch died on Wednesday in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was receiving treatment.
He was in charge of South Sudan’s Bank administration and finance.
“He’s been on medication for weeks. He died at a Nairobi hospital,” an official at the bank confirmed to the City Review through a phone interview on Thursday.
He added that Puoch died of hypertension.
“The Bank of South Sudan regrets to inform the general public and the people of South Sudan about the untimely death of the Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance Hon. Daniel Kech which occurred on July,13, 2022 in Nairobi,” the bank statement
Preparations are currently ongoing to have his body flown to Juba.
