BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth tests positive for COVID-19
Fully-vaccinated British Queen Elizabeth II has contracted COVID-19 albeit with mild symptoms.
A news report by Aljazeera quotes Buckingham Palace revealing this development but alleviating fears that Her Majesty the Queen is in a stable condition and will be taking lighter duties.
“Buckingham Palace confirm that the queen has today tested positive for COVID,” the statement read as per Aljazeera.
“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.”
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”
The longest-reigning monarch, aged 95, now becomes another personality in the royal family to contract the virus after her eldest son Prince Charles and daughter-in-law Camilla.
