Boeing plane crashes in China with 132 aboard
A Boeing 737-800 plane crashed with 132 passengers aboard in southern China on Monday. According to a report by Reuters, the plane which belongs to the China Eastern Airlines nosedived and crashed in a hilly place in the southern part of China in what appeared to be a technical fault developed in a sudden change of altitude. The plane was reported to have left Kunming, a city of Yunnan, and was headed to Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong, but the domestic journey never materialised. Local media reported no survivors of the accident.
Reports have been launched to ascertain the cause of the accident which triggered the descent from 31,000 feet above sea level. The accident presents another dent on the Boeing company that has been struggling to shed off negative reputation arising from horrifying accidents such as that of Ethiopian Airlines, which shuttered the airspace few years ago.
