The commissioning of the bridge is expected to be graced by High Representative for Infrastructure in Africa, Raila Odinga.

Adil and Mijak urged locals to allow government exploit land to initiate major developmental strategies.
The governors and Minister also appealed to the communities around the facility to continue availing more land to the Government in order to streamline economic development of the country.
“Freedom Bridge is a lifeline for the country’s economic revival through its economic activities that the facility shall serve to the people of South Sudan.”
The construction project was initiated by Japan International Cooperation (JICA), in partnership with the government of South Sudan.
