The Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has donated SSP3 million to the newly crowned Azande King, Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue.

Speaking to The City Review on arrival from Western Equatoria Thursday, Derick Derickson, the Central Equatoria Gubernatorial Press Secretary, said Adil also pledge to furnish the palace and support its workers.

“Yeah, the leadership donated SSP3 million to the monarch and pledged to furnish the emperor’s office as soon as possible,” he said.

The cash donation followed the offers of V8 and SSP 20 million by President Salva Kiir.

Mr Adil and his accompanying delegation returned to the capital Juba from Yambio after witnessing the ceremonial completion of the King’s crown.

In a statement to the media, the Central Equatoria State government said Adil applauded his counterpart Governor Alfred Futuyo and the Azande kingdom leadership for the hospitable reception accorded to him while in Yambio Town.

Mr Adil was received from Juba International Airport by Deputy Governor, Sarah Nene, State Advisors, Cabinet Ministers and other key Government officials.
