27 people rushed to hospital in suspected food poison
The commissioner of Munduri West County says 24 people have been taken to Munduri hospital on Wednesday after eating food believed to be poisoned.
Zilithtr Dawa said the incident happened after people gathered on Wednesday morning for the last funeral right.
“This morning we don’t know what really happened but according to the information children started vomiting at around 11 am we are not sure if it is water, milk or food, the Doctors are yet to confirm the cause,” she said.
She said, “The situation is very critical but they are under the doctor’s control, the number of the people at the hospital are 27 and the affected people are mixed the adults and children.”
Dawa explained that some of the people are not just vomiting but also suffering from running stomachs.
The doctors at the hospital could not be reached for comments.
