Passengers escape as bus catches fire on Jube-Nimule

An unconfirmed number of passengers survived death on Thursday after the bus they were traveling in caught fire in Moli Boma on the Juba-Nimule highway.

The incident involved a Kampala-bound bus, belonging to the Babeto Bus Company that had just left Juba.

In an interview with The City Review on Thursday, the Moli Boma area Chief, Mr. Andurga Isaac said no death case was recorded, adding that all the passengers on board and the driver were unhurt.        

“The bus caught fire alone and there were no death cases.”  

 “After the incident, there were some vehicles that came from Juba and they went by those vehicles to Uganda,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Louis Onorio Idenge, the Director of Traffic Police in Eastern Equatoria State said, The report has not come to me. I am green about it and I cannot comment on something was not reported to me.”
